With those kind of results, you’d think it’d be hard to gain traction as a website monetization company—but for Arsen Sultanyan, founder of Digital Caramel, he cuts through the noise by focusing on service quality, something he claims is missing from most digital advertising companies today.

Starting out with software products in 2006, Arsen shifted his focus to website monetization after stumbling upon an early opportunity to get involved in the ad industry in 2010.

While he’s grown Digital Caramel into a profitable business now, he didn’t start out that way. Like most of us, he started by doing the hard work himself before bringing in like-minded people to help Digital Caramel thrive.

Allow me to introduce Founder, Arsen Sultanyan…

So, who are you and what’s your business?

Hello, my name is Arsen Sultanyan. I am the founder of Digital Caramel Company. We monetize websites through ad networks and also involve direct advertisers.

What is your backstory and what inspired you to come up with / pursue this idea?

I have been in the digital business since 2006 when we just started with software production, and I was engaged in promoting and selling the product online.

Later in 2010, I started delving deeper into digital marketing and founded a new digital marketing company.

Having worked in this field for 10 years, I decided to change my focus and start with digital advertising technologies. Digital Caramel Company came to offer website monetization technology and help our partners better monetize their websites.

Customer service is one of our main focuses, which is a massive gap in the field. Most monetization companies pay less attention to service quality. Aside from providing high-yield monetization, we also provide quality customer service that guarantees customers’ loyalty and satisfaction.

So when I saw an opportunity in the ad industry and possible proportions of income, I took it without any hesitation.

Take us through the process of designing, prototyping, and manufacturing your first product or service- what was that like?

The first attempt to perform all the steps of the process was done entirely by myself so I could understand how it works. Then, when everything became clear to me and we got our first payment and income, I began to look for like-minded people to involve them in the process. Not long after that, we launched our business.

Describe launching the company… Where did you start?

I have started from giving the name for the company and engaging smart and responsible people, who then became the key people for our company and who stayed with us until now.

What has worked to attract & retain customers so far?

Creative ideas for attracting and engaging partners and webmasters. And good, high-quality service helped to keep them.

What books, podcasts, or people have been the most influential on your journey?

Businessmen who created customer-oriented products and companies.

How are things going today and what does the future look like?

All is going very well, we have grown both professionally and in the number of employees, partners, and clients involved.

The goal for the future is to expand our services in the advertising industry and go further geographically, start to work in new countries, new niches, and new markets.
